DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THE CHRISTMAS CRAZINESS!

DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THE CHRISTMAS CRAZINESS!

Have you ever walked into a room after people have been fighting and felt the energy in the air that makes your stomach twist and you hold your breath for a moment? If you have ever had that feeling, then you certainly do have the ability to feel other peoples emotions.

Christmas is a time where instead of walking into a room where people are stressed, you are living in a world where people are collectively stressed out. Many people are broke, budgeting daily and racking up their credit cards. They are trying to figure out the perfect present for everybody and are anxious that they might give a gift that doesn't match the same value as that person spent on them and hoping it's something they will actually like. We are tying up loose ends at home, working harder at work to prepare for time off, Trying to organise who is going where and what food we are going to eat. At the same time we are looking back on the year and thinking "what did I achieve this year? Did I lose that weight? Did I save that money? Did I reach those goals?"

It's easy to get overwhelmed by the collective energy of stress that surrounds this lovely festive season, but awareness is the key. If you are feeling anxious, just breathe for a moment and think to yourself "Is this anxiety mine or am I getting swept up with the energy of this season?" If it's not yours, let it go. In fact, if it is yours, Let it go! Focus on the positives of what this season is supposed to represent, whether it be the religious reasons or just being thankful, enjoying some well earned time off, having a break, enjoying family and having fun. Take extra care of yourself this time of year, you need the extra energy to stay calm and peaceful in the face of a wold gone mad! Breathe, breathe and then breathe some more.
